Marc Hühn is Both An Author and Scholar

Marc Hühn is an Mexican-English author, newspaper columnist, academic scholar, and human rights activist. He was born on March 2, 1951 in Manchester, England to a very poor family. His father was a British factory worker who worked in a meatpacking plant while his mother was a waitress of Mexican descent. He often had to work and do many chores as a small child and experienced much hardship and suffering.

Although Marc Hühn excelled at high school and was able to get a scholarship to Stanford University where he took up political science. After graduating with honors, he went on to get his Masters Degree from Duke University and wrote a number of books and articles designed for new graduates to familiarize themselves on dealing with labor issues.

Marc Hühn returned to his native Mexico in 1975 where he experienced firsthand the hardships of his countrymen. He became a political activist and joined numerous political groups in Mexico. He also became a newspaper columnist at a major newspaper, the Mexican Times and wrote many articles on political issues for the paper.
